IdentityForce does what it advertises, all within a clean and user-friendly dashboard, but we had issues with its privacy policy and customer support. It offers multiple identity monitoring tools. It also has lots of flexibility, where you can decide whether or not you need credit monitoring with your subscription and your subscription term length.
During our testing, we found the privacy policy to be a little sketchy, especially considering the price tag. We also weren’t impressed with the scavenger hunt we needed to do to find customer support.

How we test and rate identity theft protection services
To review identity theft protection services, we sign up for the service several days prior to our review. This allows the service time to begin populating our dashboard with identity and credit monitoring information and send us real-time alerts. During this time, we also evaluate the service's ease of use, contact customer support, and play around with the extra features.
After spending some time with the service, we use our proprietary grading rubric which calculates a star rating based on prices, identity monitoring features, credit features, and other criteria.
To learn more about how we test, check out our full ID theft testing methodology here.
Our experience with IdentityForce
Our IdentityForce account was easy enough to set up. We entered our name, email, and phone number before being directed to a payment screen.
Once logged in to our portal, we were given a list of tasks to complete our account setup. This made it easy to figure out the full capabilities of our IdentityForce plan and we imagine this would be helpful for an ID theft protection beginners or older crowds.
We did like the peace of mind that came with having suspicious activity alerts and restoration services if we found ourselves victims of identity theft.
Who is IdentityForce best for?
- Recommended for individuals seeking identity protection and reputation management
Services like IdentityForce are useful for individuals with high-profile jobs like social media influencers, reporters, and high-traffic bloggers. It may also be a good fit for monitoring your children’s identities if their information was involved in a ransomware attack.
Ransomware has been declared an endemic rather than a war we can win, so this ongoing issue will need monitoring. A hacker stealing a minor’s identity can go on for a while before it’s caught, leading to credit troubles before the child is even old enough to use it.

IdentityForce is among the most expensive in the identity theft protection market, so it may not be worth it to you. There is value in its extra features like a password manager and PC protection, but you should evaluate if you need these.

IdentityForce features
IdentityForce packs a lot into its services. We were impressed with how many additional features were available compared to other services like IDNotify and PrivacyGuard. A password manager and document storage were nice additions to the service.
Most features are available in the UltraSecure plans, but any credit-related services are only included in the UltraSecure+Credit plans.

Does IdentityForce keep your data safe?
IdentityForce uses two-factor authentication (2FA) from the very start. Part of your sign-up data includes listing a device for your 2FA code. You’ll have to verify before you can enter your portal.
We don’t love how much information IdentityForce collects on its customers. It collects the following:
- Information you provide (that should be a given) like your personal and demgraphic information
- Location-based information
- Information provided by third parties
- Usage information like your IP address and device functionality
- Cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts
Your information is used to provide you with IdentityForce's services, process transactions, and provide customer support. But it's also used to send you marketing materials and to serve you tailored ads.
Overall, not a great privacy policy, although still not the worst we’ve seen.
IdentityForce compatibility
IdentityForce is a web-based portal you can access via browser. There’s no compatibility listed for browsers, so any will do.
There are mobile apps available in the Apple Store Store and Google Play Store. The Google Play Store lists a 2.6-star rating while the Apple App Store lists a 3.0-star rating. The most common complaints in the reviews appear to be glitches within the app, like no alerts coming in.
IdentityForce customer support
IdentityForce has a support tab in its portal, but it's dedicated to its restoration services. To contact the IdentityForce support team for questions about your account or troubleshooting, you'll need to select the Support link in the footer of the main website.
IdentityForce has email and phone support options, but we didn’t see a chat box or any other direct messaging capabilities. For quick reference, the phone number for support listed on the website is 1-877-694-3367. You can contact them 24/7 (excluding major holidays).

IdentityForce FAQs
Is IdentityForce worth it?
Identity protection services may or may not be worth it depending on your needs. If you’re looking for simple credit monitoring, you can do that for free with an app like MoneyLion or Credit Karma. HelloPrivacy will monitor your identity with its free account.
If you’re an online influencer or reporter, it may be worth signing up for this service due to the high-profile nature of your job. For most people, however, services like IdentityForce are overkill.
Do I need to pay for IdentityForce?
Yes, you'll need to pay for IdentityForce. A 30-day free trial is advertised for the UltraSecure plan, but we were charged anyway. The UltraSecure+Credit plan has no free trial offer.
Is IdentityForce legit?
IdentityForce is a TransUnion brand. TransUnion is one of the three credit reporting bureaus, so IdentityForce is a legitimate company.
What are the benefits of IdentityForce?
IdentityForce benefits include having your ID and credit monitoring in one convenient dashboard. The company offers some great features as well, like a password manager.
How do I cancel IdentityForce?
To cancel IdentityForce, you’ll need to reach out to customer service. Customer service does not answer immediately, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time before your next billing statement to avoid a charge. There's no option within your portal to cancel your subscription.
Bottom line: Is IdentityForce good?
IdentityForce takes identity theft protection services you can find all across the web and condenses them into one easy-to-use dashboard.
While this is convenient, it’s also a lot of data to have in one place. This is especially concerning given the less-than-stellar privacy policy where your data is shared for marketing purposes.
If that’s of less concern to you, IdentityForce may be a good choice. The design is clean and user-friendly, services are easy to understand, and alerts are prominently displayed within the dashboard. In addition to IdentityForce’s host of standard identity theft protection features, you also get bonus features like and password manager.
Overall, if you’re looking for one of the best identity theft protection services, IdentityForce is a solid option. While it’s not perfect, it does offer plenty of perks and makes managing your identity and credit easy.
